General Features

Overview

Nios S H2O based on the Spice+ technology completes the pediatric portfolio accommodating mild to severe hearing losses. Nios S H2O is available in two performance levels. All products include a comprehensive feature set. Nios S H2O offers a wide range of accessories and FM options, giving the convenience of wireless connectivity.

Features & Benefits

It is often assumed that children with milder hearing losses do not experience limitations in understanding and producing speech. The reality is that sufficient audibility in the high frequencies is often inconsistent and hearing in noise is a continuous challenge. The new Nios S H2O has been designed to address these. It provides invaluable support to children, allowing them to enjoy an easier hearing experience.

Features Description
SoundRecover SoundRecover adds clarity and consistent exposure to high frequency speech sounds, ensuring natural sound quality and improved speech understanding. SoundRecover can be used for all hearing losses and the amount of frequency compression applied is directly proportional to the hearing loss.
WhistleBlock WhistleBlock suppresses feedback only as and when it occurs. Fully adaptive, it continuously applies just the right amount of suppression to suit any and every situation that a child experiences.
UltraZoom UltraZoom is an adaptive multi-channel beamforming technology, automatically available in SoundFlow or in a manual program. This adaptive beamformer is ideally suited for older children who move in between noisy enviroments to the next. Sophisticated microphone matching and calibration in UltraZoom ensures optimal long-term performance of the dual-microphone technology.
SoundFlow Thanks to the increased processing power of the Spice+ technology, enhanced SoundFlow employs a high-definition, multi-dimensional sound classification system. As children grow, their exposure to different environments increases. The enhanced SoundFlow allows for increased accuracy in the identification of subtle changes in the environment, optimizing the feature set for every situation.
WaterResistant The Nios S H2O housing is WaterResistant, certified with an IP67 rating. IP67 indicates that the hearing aid was not damaged beyond repair after 8 hours in a dust chamber, nor after being immersed in 1 meter (3 feet) of water for 30 minutes as defined by IEC60529.
Junior Mode Children have different listening needs from adults. This is why Phonak developed Junior Mode, the evidence-based, customizable pediatric fitting software which aims to make pediatric fittings more accurate and efficient. This is a unique one click pediatric configuration that is categorized into 0-4, 5-8 and 9-18 year old age-based default settings. Junior Mode is available in iPFG and Phonak Target™ fitting software.

Fitting Ranges

Nios S H2O fitting range covers mild to severe hearing loss, all audiometric configurations.

Phonak Target™ Junior Mode
